Despite its recent claims of certain… issues with piracy of its PC titles, it seems Ubisoft refuses to be deterred by those wishing to play or distribute its games without actually paying for the right to do so, because it announced today that a “definitive” PC edition of its (and by “its”, I mean RedLynx’s) wonderful side-scrolling motocross racing/stunt game, Trials Evolution is in development for early 2013. Trials Evolution: Gold Edition is actually not the first game of the franchise to come to PC. Trials 2 Second Edition released in 2008, followed by Trials Legends in 2010. Now, PC gamers will be able to play Evolution as well as everything from Trials HD, which will effectively double the amount of content included in the game (and I’m sure the price will reflect that as well).

In all, Trials Evolution: Gold Edition will feature over 120 tracks, skill games and multiplayer levels, which, for what was originally a downloadable Arcade title, is quite a lot of content! And, yes, PC gamers still get online multiplayer, global leaderboards and access to player-created content. As far as what Ubisoft means when it says the game will release in “early 2013”, we will have to wait and see.
